The Hooded Merganser is a small fish-eating duck of wooded ponds that nests in holes in trees and is frequently seen on shallow waters where its only waterfowl companion is the Wood Duck. This male Hooded Merganser, boldly patterned with black and white crest, was hand carved and painted by Mr. Williams in a traditional Eastern Shore Gunning Style. SOLD special order
